He played one of the most elite pace attacks in 4 different Ashes serieses between 46 and 53, last two played on literal minefields, averaged 57, he is more than fine against it.
Yeah, he was fine against it, more than fine actually. But even you would struggle to keep a straight face while saying Hutton is a better player of pace than Viv.

That being said, Hutton>Viv is a very fine take.

I can say it with a very straight face, his feats against pace are greater (so are Sobers's frankly) but He's probably overall inferior against it in flexibleness and Versatility. If you value versatility and ability to attack pace so much, then Viv should be above Sachin too

I mean...Hutton averages 5-6 higher, while opening and facing the new ball in England his whole career and has a McGrath tier flawless record, I'm not seeing the rationale for Viv>Hutton if anything.
