True. But it's very hard to ge dropped from team. And which one of Marsh or Head would you ditch?
Marsh. Harsh but with Green bedded down his role is the most replaceable and I just don't think he's the guy long term.

Having said that, if Head keeps on his current run, he shouldn't complain too much if he misses out after a failure or two against India in November

Alright, need to think about tomorrow's inevitable bowling. Do you risk Henry one more? Southee worth a go with the team on the up.

It's weird that people don't talk about the peak marnus levels of luck marsh got during the ashes and pakistan series, NGL. Don't remember the numbers, but i'm pretty sure he was getting more reprieves per dismissal then marnus was at his luckiest.

I've thought it's looked brittle for at least a couple of years, which is why it was extremely surprising to me just how badly South Africa did.
Yeah that really should hang over their heads as an asterisk (except from Nortje); they were absolutely putrid

Surely both Marsh and Head have done a lot more than Lab in recent times, without even factoring in their useful bowling.

Sometimes I've wondered if we could use Head as a BazBall opener a la Duckett. Fact is I don't think his ceiling's actually that high. After 160 First Class matches he only averages just over 40, and his test average is now just over 42. With Pucovski all but officially invalided out we're going to be really hard up for openers soon. Not sure how much longer Khawaja will last.
