NZ xi vs SL xi (since 1970)

Replace Southee with Bond. Replace Malinga with Fernando. Result - Hadlee is likely to win NZ most games outside subcontinent. Murali is likely to win SL most games in subcontinent.

    Stuart Broad or Nathan Lyon?

Broad is a nothing bowler in Asia while Lyon is usually good across all conditions. Broad has longevity and is an excellent bowler for SEN conditions but I think Lyon is marginally better.

    Virat Kohli vs kane Williamson

I will pick Kohli because I would want my team to compete vs big boys rather than just bash weaker teams and make a career of that. No other batter since my time of watching cricket having as bad an away average vs top 5 teams as Williamson does is rated as highly as Kane Williamson.

AB De Villiers vs Younis Khan

ABD is better in terms of skills and versatility. Khan better in terms of getting big knocks once set.

    Imran Khan vs Curtley Ambrose

Look at IK's record away vs best side of his era. 8 matches 48 wkts Avg 25 6 WPM is phenomenal but that average is nothing special.

    Kane Williamson vs Alastair Cook

I rate Kohli higher. Away from home, Kohli is well ahead of Williamson vs top 4 sides with comparison of 42 vs 32 and both are at same level in terms of overall performance vs top 4 sides with 43 vs 42. When difference is too big in overall stats vs top 4-5 teams then away stats value can be...

    Bob Willis vs Andy Roberts

Why is Willis not rated very highly despite averaging 25 with 300 wickets? Any explanation for him?

The best fast bowler to debut before 1970

    Lindwall Trueman Davidson

    Kane Williamson vs Alastair Cook

No hate, he is too gentle bloke to be hated. Great sportsperson and ambassador of the game but I expect better returns from a Test cricketer rated so high. An average of 32 vs top 5 teams away from home and that doesn't include his failure vs SL which is again a spin dominated nation and his...

    Imran Khan vs Curtley Ambrose

Ambrose was the best bowler of 90s while IK was 3rd best bowler of 80s behind Marshall and Hadlee. Ambrose was certainly lucky to not tour India. A tour to humid conditions in India has a massive impact especially if youe bowling isn't suited there.

What are the odds that Babar, Shaheen and Rizwan enter the Pakistan ATG Test XI by the end of their careers?

Only Rizwan. Babar lacks the quality and Shaheen too lacks it plus he is up against 3 ATG fast bowlers+ 1 great express pace bowler. Babar should make the ODI one for sure.

    Virender Sehwag vs Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma definitely but I am not liking the fact that he is not retiring.

    Kane Williamson vs Alastair Cook

Any great batter with as bad away numbers as Williamson vs top teams...

Who is second greatest odi batsman after viv?

Either Kohli or Sachin. Then Ponting, ABD and Rohit.

    Denis Compton vs Chanderpaul

Williamson but difference isn't big. Batting position matters, usually a top order player would have lower average in alien countries where new ball does a bit. Williamson made serious impact batting at 3 in home games, WTC final knock and against poor sides away from home too. During...
