    Nicholls survived 94 balls. May only have scored 29 but showed the value of the anti-Bazball approach. Tiring out bowlers and setting up the game for the middle order. Good innings so far from NZ.

    Maharaj was brilliant with both bat and ball for Yorkshire. Must be tough being a kiwi spinner -limited spaces for tests and no route to IPL riches. I wonder if others have considered a white ball plus county cricket career?

    Waqar is a really good commentator. I wish Sky would keep the best overseas voices as neutral commentators during the summer.

    Can't really celebrate full on. Left wondering what would have happened if Pakistan had got through the game without injuries. Suspect it would have been a close, thrilling finish, or reliant on someone hitting out and taking the risk.

    Wish Malan was there. The England batting line up excluding Stokes are all 'kinda ok I guess' batters at first class level.

    I’d guess they have a chance of that? England should send stokes out at number three as he’s the only real holding batsman with experience.
