    No idea how the batsmen and bowlers would fare in the corresponding departments in baseball, but looking at the quality of some of the ground fielding in baseball, I'm pretty sure 90% of all cricketers would look rank amateurs in that department.

    We're talking comparable batsmen. With all due respect to May, he wasn't in the same class as Tendulkar or Richards. Tate needs to step up his game and play more than the one solitary test.

    Laxman makes his runs when they are usually most needed. Prefer him over Waugh in Tests. Waugh easily the better batsman (even ignoring his bowling) in ODIs.
