    Kallis vs Sangakkara

Sangakkara really used to annoy me.....he was always a whiny little arse behind the stumps....but over the last few years I have mellowed somewhat towards him. I do like Zhark Kallis though, he has been awesome for the Saffers, especially when he was on top bowling form. It's a close one for...

    Battrick

Just waiting for the new FC leagues to come out as I promoted this season. Got a really hard cup draw as usual.....need to decide whether to play my 1st XI or not.

    *Official* Pro-Wrestling Thread II

Took my son to see 'Raw' live at the Newcastle Arena last week. We had a great time. He wanted to see Cena and Punk and was really happy to see them in their matches. The best part of the event for me was the fact that Mick Foley (Mankind, Cactus Jack, Dude Love) was there as well as a special...

    Peter Roebuck dies

This is proving to be pretty tough for some people. A lot of people respect/respected Peter Roebuck as a player and commentator. However with the various accusations now coming out against him, it's becoming clear there may be a lot to this man that we didn't know. To be fair, this can be said...

*Official* English Domestic Off Season 2011/12

Was busy googling this Zimbo team to find out the fixtures when I got the email reminder that you had replied to this....I immediately knew then a game or games had been played and thought :@

Areas of improvement for current test sides

Possibly....but I suppose people say the same about Broad as well. Personally I like Bresnan and would love to see him eventually in a 'Flintoff' style role. Flintoff just had the knack of coming in to bat or bowl (especially bowl) when England were under pressure and deliver a magic over or put...

*Official* English Domestic Off Season 2011/12

Interesting to see that Phil Mustard will be joining up with Zimbabwean Twenty20 side 'Mountaineers' to do some coaching with the youth and senior squad as well as getting in some time in the middle as well. Mustard was the club's top player in T20 last season, so hopefully this trip will end...

Areas of improvement for current test sides

It's rather amusing to read the previous posts and not see much of England mentioned in there. For a change we are in the middle of a fairly stable period. If we are talking about wishes and what we would love to see. I would love to see a genuine pace-bowling all-rounder. A new and less...

    ***Official*** Australia in South Africa

The batsmen will fire eventually. There is too much class and experience in there for them to continually get knocked over every innings. Would love to see Hussey in the runs next game.

    Using the term "rape"

I think 'In Context' is the name of the game here. The lines can get blurred sometimes especially with the evolution of language.

    Advertising on the Forums

I don't see any problem with the suggestion of Advertisements at all. It is pretty commonplace now and as long as they aren't pop ups then I don't think it will spoil anyone's enjoyment of the forum.

Warne is 6/1 for an Ashes comeback!

This Warne comeback talk is a complete load of bollocks. Too many people living on past glories. People need to face up to the fact that it's a transition period for the Australian team. No sports team can sustain a period of dominance indefinitely.....just look at the West Indies now for...

Ian Botham and Ian Chappell in car park dust-up after Adelaide test

It's good to see old rivalries are still alive and well, it just makes things a lot more interesting. Would love to see what was said.

I gotta get some sleep, some time this week, man

Yep, so true mate. The missus is well annoyed at me coming home from work and then going to bed at 8pm and setting alarm again for 11:30pm to get up. Then an hours sleep during the lunch interval. Will probably go to bed at 10pm or so and set alarm for 2:30am for start of the 1st session.

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

I don't mind who comes into open for the Aussies, it's just no possible to replace Katich, and that's the real bonus as far as England are concerned. The pressure on Hughes (assuming he gets the nod) will be immense and if he gets out early/cheaply, then his confidence could be shot to pieces...
