Played 32, won 32.
838 points scored with only 116 points against.
Tries were only worth 3 points then too.

The 48 Aussie cricket team would be a close 2nd.

Fingleton reckoned that the 1948 Australians were overrated due to the weakness of English cricket at the time. Many put this down to his antipathy towards Bradman.

However the New Zealand tourists the following year only lost one first-class match, while scoring more runs than the Australians who obviously had much stronger bowling.
