Alec Bedser > Ray Lindwall imo
What???
Dude will you for God's sake stop bringing in Imran? We aren't talking about Imran.

I know you are butt hurt that all your anti-Imran advocacy turns people off but please just move on.
1. That's what you say when you don't have a valid or effective response, you just deflect and gaslight.

2. You did being up Imran in explaining why you rated both ahead of Ambrose. And you used your favorite term penetrative, again I just wanted to show how your opinions greatly differ from reality. But I also saw that Luffy and Johan were both doing a job of highlighting that.

And speaking of...

It wasn't lol. Ambrose played most of his career with Extremely high quality bowling. ****ing Patterson was better than half of those you named.
Pretending they had similar support on average is infact the very definition of a braindead take.
Your agenda is so blatant here it's pathetic kinda
Might just be my 2nd favorite post of the weekend.
@subshakerz how is your anti Ambrose agenda going?

Seeing that just the post above that one you were called "Willingly obtuse and stupid" looks like your agenda might just be the one turning people off.

And btw you still didn't answer the question. Does s/r only conveniently matter for you?

Higher bowling load is a definite plus especially since Ambrose didn't take a huge load latter career half much when frankly he should have.

Lillee bowls almost 10 extra overs per match over Ambrose that period.
Because he had less support.

Wasn't that explained to you all morning?

But yes, Lillee was a workhorse and a beast.

And stop trying to portray Ambrose as a blockable bowler, don't think anyone has consistently missed the outside edge more that him in his career. If you actually watched him and not just the highlights, you would have known that as well.

Average >>>>> WPM

WPM is a bad metric in almost every circumstance, and is virtually entirely influenced by external factors not related to the bowler in question

Then why do you constantly engage me? Either you think my views are genuine or not.

I've explained my view on the support issue. You don't have to agree.

Give Lillee credit for being a workhorse then.

Ambrose late career was more blockable and a corridor bowler.

The real answer is to look at context for both cases. There are obvious ones like Hadlee and Murali but we shouldn't automatically give an advantage to a better average either. But regardless of what you think of WPM we do look at it generally in setting output expectations for bowlers.

Do I have to explain to you why I don't want to discuss Imran with you?

Might just be my 2nd favorite post of the weekend.

If you read the posts, tell me if it's me pushing an agenda or me just responding to their questioning and Luffy getting emotional as he tends to.

Anyways what was the SR point?
