I think they have a right to be unhappy about yesterday. Rubbish for much of that day, especially with the new ball.I wouldn't be too harsh on India, they haven't been helped by the weather, it was overcast when they batted and it has been sunny for England batting.
Stokes should get a job as a weatherman when he retires, I doubt even the professional weathermen could predict the English weather as well as he can
You'll get to see him in the dead rubber. He'll pick a bunch but will be discarded right after because after all he only came good in an inconsequential match.Sundar/jadeja getting turn and picking wickets makes you realise how ridiculous this non-selection of Kuldeep really is.
If India lost the 4th test narrowly without him then there would've been predictable uproar about what was the point of saving him for the 5th test when the series is now over.Probably should have left JB out. Can see why they gambled but he certainly isn't playing the last test.
0-111 will do itThat avg is going back above 20
The worry is he's looked spent despite the 10 day break so even if India manage the unlikeliest outcome imaginable here, he's hardly going to be in any shape for the quick turnaround at the Oval.If India lost the 4th test narrowly without him then there would've been predictable uproar about what was the point of saving him for the 5th test when the series is now over.
Personally you'd want to play him when there's everything to play for.
Stokes is taking on Root's role this series. The new ball taken and Siraj uses it to hit Stokes straight in the plums.
Funny for everyone but Stokes.
India can then say going into the decider that's as good as it's going to get & if they're good enough to snatch it,then so be it.They can lift with everything on the lineThe worry is he's looked spent despite the 10 day break so even if India manage the unlikeliest outcome imaginable here, he's hardly going to be in any shape for the quick turnaround at the Oval.
Is that a thing in England? Is Jadeja no longer a frontline spinner?
Don’t worry, the tail is to come! That avg is going back above 20
I wish India had the potential for a genuine seam bowling all rounder on par with Stokes. At the moment, they have Nitish Kumar Reddy who is a mental midget in conditions that aren't conducive for stroke play, and Shardul Thakur who depends on a fluke performance every 15 matches. In the Kohli-Shastri era they were playing Hardik Pandya which failed utterly.Gill is an inexperienced captain so I would give him the benefit of the doubt but Gambhir is a pure trash coach. Never a good idea to select bits and pieces cricketers and expect to win test matches.
How many all-rounders did we have in Kohli-Shastri era?
This just shows how much faith we have in our batters that we have to field bums like Thakur for some extra batting down the order
i think you'd slap your hands off to play Hardik Pandya in conditions like this right nowI wish India had the potential for a genuine seam bowling all rounder on par with Stokes. He's more likely to be a pace-all rounder than Reddy or Thakur, sure.i think you'd slap your hands off to play Hardik Pandya in conditions like this right now
