Yeah so far Gill isn't exactly doing a lot to dispel the FTB tag this series. Just too many ways to get him out once the ball decides to deviate at al.

That was almost a nothing ball from Stokes. Very poor judgement, as Gill should have middled that. Looked very similar to Karun's dismissal last test. I think Gill is letting anger get the better of him. Throwing verbals is fine, but you have to back it up. He hasn't looked focused enough since.

I hope I don't jinx Sai but if he can fix the issue of his vulnerability off his pads, he can develop into a gritty #3

That ball had no swing on it whatsoever. It was just a pathetic lapse in concentration. Fair to say Gill's trial at being a Virat mini-me isn't paying off

Fake aggression got to him. Tried to copy Kohli and failed miserably. Needs to realize he's not that type of personality.
Yeah, Kohli would thrive off that, but Gill doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who wants confrontation. You could see Brook chirping at him all the time too, they definitely got into his head.

England's session no doubt, but still honors even. Stokes, as always, makes things happen, while Dawson and Woakes have bowled in decent areas. Pretty lacklustre from India in throwing away 3 wickets. But if these two can put on a good partnership to get India to about 200-250 by stumps, that'll go a long way.
