Yeah, his record in Australia especially isn't particularly great.

Miller+Sanga gives you practically the same batting and a World Class bowler. Miller, Imran, Ambrose, Barnes and Murali; this team can legit beat the World XI in a few games.

I agree. In fact, it may be the first time a Second XI is a better all round attack.

I don't think it's nearly the same batting considering Sanga is the wkb a not a pure bat. The bowling improves ofc but Miller is the 5th bowler here. That's a lower impact. The 4 ATG bowlers are more than enough imo, especially with Barnes and Murali, where you don't even have to worry about workload.

It does if he bats at no.7, followed by Imran at no.8

I think this 5 man attack has so much balance that it would be a pretty big improvement. And yeah, Kallis/Knott batting is better but imo not by a big margin really. Now considering you have Imran at 8, Sangakkara/Miller seems way too tempting.

It's still an incredibly strong lower order.

Disagree. Even if you don't have him in 15, it has to be in the periphery of that.

You have Barnes and Murali though too, I'd not use my 5th bowler all that much tbh, when you've got these two top 5 bowlers of all time, who can basically bowl non stop at a high level.

Even when in peak he struggled when he had to take over keeping duties (small sample size but those are the facts). And yes he always batted at 3. Big difference to batting 6 or 7 and almost guaranteed to also affect his output.
