Ambrose is mostly just McGrath lite for me. Steyn for me without batting. But I'd also be dropping Hadlee for McGrath. Not selecting my number 1 quick or spinner would be pretty funny.
So your actual best attack is Marshall, McGrath and Steyn?
So now we have Knott and Hammond…
Yup.

Nothing I've voted for is anything I haven't said multiple times before, and up to very recently. Including posts that you've responded to btw.

There's no way I'm taking the field with that attack and not having at least 3 great options in the cordon. No Barry means Hammond, I've said this repeatedly. Greatest slip ever and similar temperament and skill set to Tendulkar.

Warne and Smith are, for this level of team, liabilities

With so many talk about secondary skills with jostling for who's going to bat at 11.

If Smith makes the team, the area of the field where most of the wickets are taken will be manned by Shane Warne and Steven Smith.

One is definely not good enough to man the spot, and one has elite skills, but drops more sitters than anyone.

With this attack, that's definely a liability.
It is not about who bats at 11. While I voted for McGrath, if Imran gets in, he'll obviously bat at 8 above Hadlee.
