Pretty typical of technically correct batsmen who have hard hands, these batsmen were a dime a dozen in Aus in the mid 00s and early 10s

His weakness against short of a length balls that move away is pretty terminal though. That's a Test bowler's stock ball when they just want a dot ball, you can't be nicking those with regularity.
It’s bizarre that England abandoned that for a bit to try something unnecessary and gave away 20+ runs in the process

Yeah but surely he has more credits in the bank from that tour than anything Nair has shown so far on this one (not that they're in direct competition for a spot or anything)
Don't know. Seems BGT is irrelevant given Thakur started over him.
