Why? I never said on field achievements should be handwaved either. Give up on bad arguments imo
When DrWolverine said that it wasn't close, you just said that people who saw them wouldn't agree, instead of mentioning their on field achievements. Give up on double standards imo.

@sayon basak it's kinda true though in context Barrington and Compton are very debatable. Kenny had a 10 year career to Dennis' 18. Also, he somehow got some of the flattest pitches everywhere he toured. FC record is mid and home record isn't special. And despite scoring so heavily away, he really lacks many knocks of absolute importance.

He said it's not close, I said it's not close in favour of Compton for everyone who saw them, showing that it's not an outlandish debate. Give up on Strawmanning with extremes like Qadir imo

15 players who saw both play were asked to choose between Trumper and Don. All but 1 (Rhodes) selected Trumper. It's silly, when especially one is so much more stylish and have memorable knocks, let alone be the Brylcream boy. You could've used stats in context, like flat pitches, career length, FC record, etc. but choose the weakest line of thoughts and now can't except that.

Because There's no statistical parity between Bradman and Trumper, in context or without context, the same doesn't exist between Compton and Barrington, you're pretending that I said Stats and on field achievements should be written off when I never claimed that, I said to pretend that it is an obvious victor is to be ignorant to what the pantheon of English bats have been for nearly a hundred years. You're a friend, but cut the virtue signaling like the one in the final sentence eh?

Sorry..... It wasn't supposed to be virtue signalling or anything.
