Per Andy Zaltzman:
Bashir's ball that got Pant out was the second-slowest recorded wicket-taking ball by an England bowler in Tests this decade (after Parkinson's one Test wicket - Southee at Lord's in 2022, 43.8mph)
What happened to Parkinson?

He has a not-terrible looking FC record (much better than Bashir). Where did he go?
That was mostly before his Test cap I think. I've not followed the CC so closely the past couple of years but I believe he dropped off a bunch and lost his spot at Lancashire. His twin brother has taken more wickets recently iirc.

So, is Ben Stokes/Brendon McCullum's approach to this series 'whatever runs they put up we will chase it down'?

Superb from Gill. Hope it's him finally starting to fulfil his potential and becoming a consistent batsman.
Flat pitches but tbf he still had to make the runs.

I've been critical of him like many here, but have enjoyed watching him this summer.

You seen the Indian bowling line up this test and how flat the pitches are?

Can't blame him tbh.
