Absurdly Awesome Cricket Stats

Mushfiqur Rahim (15,513) now holds the record for the most runs in international cricket without bowling a single delivery. He goes past Adam Gilchrist (15.461) with Quinton de Kock (12,654) the next best.
For those who like me were wondering, the record for players who have never kept internationally still belongs to Upul Tharanga (9112), followed by Ajinkya Rahane (8414) and Craig Ervine (6739)

Sean Williams in the 2020s
11 Test matches, 1202 Test runs with five centuries at an average of 70.71

A shame he can't play more tests.
Reminds me of Rashid. We need more tests for these lower nations. If they have test status, let them play tests.

Tests in the last WTC cycle (excluding final)

23 England
19 Australia, India

14 Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
13 West Indies
12 South Africa

7 Zimbabwe
4 Afghanistan
3 Ireland

Like we’ve even got there with Bangladesh. I don’t mind the big 3 being prioritised but cmon do better ICC.

South Africa is really heartbreaking

When Ireland got test status they invested in their domestic structure, including a proper first class competition but they've not been able to sustain that, so the only professional domestic competitions they have now are limited overs. I think similarly they can't really afford test cricket either.

With a test batting average of 108 and a bowling average of 19, Corbin Bosch really should retire now.

Rishabh Pant struck 3 sixes in his last inning taking him past Viv Richards in all-time six hitters in tests.

To compare, Pant achieved this feat in his 45th test while it took Richards 121 tests. Pant now sits at number 12 in the AT six hitters list.

Could climb past the likes of Rohit and Cairns and ascend to number 8 in the all-time list if he hits 6 more sixes in this series.

Of course, on a sixes struck per test or inning basis, Pant is already the most prolific of all time.

His challengers in the current generation are Brook, Jaiswal and Gill.

In terms of % of boundaries that were sixes he’s far below Timothy
