1st Test (Leeds) - 20th June

they faced weak teams in his 5 tests. the likes of NZ and PAK which is as weak as you can get in Tests (these days). His FC average is 31, usually you dont go 13 ave better than FC, so it means he is coming back to earth now. Fact is there is no bowling depth in FC cricket for England(apart from injury prone players), same issue is happening to Aus once the big 4 retire(cummins, haze, starc and boland) - all injury prone like Morris and Jhye richardson etc.
Gosh can you just go to some Australian thread?

Bashir deserved that actually. He's bowled has improved since from the DL maximums, and one of those was almost caught.

dude should be forced to listen to five hours of Nickelback for giving Bashir a wicket.

The accident has had much more of an effect on his keeping than his batting. His glove work was improving a lot before the accident, it's regressed since.
Yeah the question was more about whether the accident would affect his mentality more than his ball-striking, but he's definitely the same mad genius he was beforehand.

Surprised about Gilchrist, but you're right of course.
I still recall being bemused in 2005 when my dad told me that Gilchrist was one of the best batsman and best wicketkeeper in the world.

Flintoff had his number that series and explains why so few centuries.

In 2001 I'm sure he didn't have to do as much batting but I was 8 then and not following cricket!
