1st Test (Leeds) - 20th June

State Regular
Josh Hull was a strange pick. If he was super quick i would have understood but he bowled at what 82-85mph
He's super tall and a left armer so naturally offers variety. Tall bowlers are also favoured for Australia so they probably had that in mind too.

Not a great start but I see it didn’t even take a session for the merchants of doom to start playing their tune
I mean it's about as bad of a start as you could have putting the opposition into bat.

Burning all your reviews and a bowler dropping down injured is the only thing that could make it worse.

i think the worst part about this is how easily they've negotiated the new ball. hardly had to 'survive' at all. now the ball is going to be useless and i can't see a wicket coming any time soon

i really like carse's action. very strong. looks like he won't get injured too often bowling quality pace

Rahul has been excellent, happily waited for the overpitched delivery and dispatched it each time. Don't think he's played a false shot. Jaiswal far luckier with the playing and missing but he'll probably go and score loads now.

But the bowling has not targetted the stumps enough, Jaiswal looks a potential lbw candidate (as in the Lions game) but they've just not bowled there.

Jaiswal will smash Bashir for a bit then hole out, 185/1 will be the first wicket.
