Dunno, after Headingley '19 one might've thought they'd think long and hard before burning a review on what charitably be called a speculative shout in case a far more likely "out" is denied further down the line.

I think Australia's best hope was a couple of early wickets by the quicks, some day 4 turn for Lyon and a few more wickets and then sweeping the tail with the new ball.

They got the early wickets but the problem is there just isn't much turn.

I guess so. If there was another 80 runs to get then you have to be smarter but I just think you don't know if another half chance could present itself to try run though SA. In real time it looked closer on the outside the line than it was. Obviously the keeping lower than expected got them excited.

Hard to believe he was the SA batsman under most pressure in this test. That first innings grit in testing conditions was so against his character which is what we wanted to see more of from him.

I'm more in the camp of back your defensive technique but be positive in your scoring options at the same time. He hasn't done much wrong so far. Good solid defence and shouting No run can also ease the nerves. I don't want him to throw his wicket away.
