Really excited for this as I just want to see SA play as much Tests as they can. You can’t get better unless you are tested against the best and in different conditions. Realistically, everything will have to go right for us to take this one. My head can’t see it happening even if it’s what the heart wants. I’m worried about our batting vs those 3 Aus quicks!

ngl I’m worried about our batting vs your quicks too. I think our bats are a bit better, but you guys come in with great form, especially Bavuma.
SA (sadly) always chokes though so it might be more comfortably in our favour.

Honestly I can’t remember a real choke from the Test side. We have been rubbish for a period but I can’t remember us throwing away wins from good positions in a Test. We usually get outclassed recently. I guess this is a “Final” so it could cause some nerves that are not there in other Tests.

SA have a very good chance. All it takes is the quicks to get a roll on and they can rip through the Aussies.

Just had to go remind myself of the test wickets tally (obviously AD missed the beginning of a potential test career) but it's still so amazing how KG could go past AD on the all-time SA test wickets tally in this test.
He can maybe reel in Steyn if he plays till 36.

I don’t care which of the fast bowlers they select, Boland can come in for any of them. Green can come into the team when Khawaja retires (which should be soon). Webster is what we need at 6 right now. And Inglis should be given a shot (and also open in any FC matches he plays).
