Viv technically should have extra points for all his runs scored over any conventional bat just based on scoring rate and intimidation. He can make even smaller innings much more effective on the opposition.

The argument against him not scoring as consistently, while not true anyways, misses this fundamental point.

I think the serieses are equal but Viv's is greater because he very much impacted English batting philosophy, Gooch, Smith, Thorpe, Lamb etc all would try to imitate him for the rest of their careers.

It was like Larwood's bodyline in a sense, definitely not as impactful but still.

Chris Woakes is actually a far, far bigger factor than Jack Leach, especially in England.
