*Official* Zimbabwe in England (One Off Test)

Did you think that this wasn't always likely to be a bit of a case? I would be surprised if the England bowlers didn't take the opportunity to depress their average.
I’ll be honest, I did think Zimbabwe, especially Muzarabani, would look a bit more threatening than this with the ball, even on this pitch I’d expect the England bowlers to do well

Blessing certainly has the quality to surpass Heath Streak, but certainly hasn't done it so far. Taking wickets against Ireland, Bangladesh and Afghanistan won't get you there. When he has played more against the top teams, then you can make a proper comparison.
As for the 11 matches in 8 years, it's partly his own fault combined with the fact Zimbabwe play less tests. Zimbabwe has played about 20 tests since his debut. He has missed some of them due to getting dropped/injury.
Anyway, proclaiming him the GOAT Zimbabwe bowler can hold on till he plays the top sides. For now, we voted him in the Zim all time Xi recently. That's credit enough.
Oh, looks like bowling against actual batters instead of cardboards is a bit harder.

Don't mind Pope getting a ton after batting well in New Zealand when we needed him, Crawley can do one though.

Shows the gap between top and bottom in the test rankings though and it seems to be widening.

Possibly we might have reckoned on them being a little better but even so, I can’t help thinking of the 1980’s when a nascent Sri Lanka test team used to regularly play first class fixtures in England. Surely a game or two against Lions prospects would help Zimbabwe and other developing teams.

If Stokes wants to play exciting cricket he should declare now. We could then win this by lunch tomorrow.
