Which combo is best?

Yeah but it depends how many games. If it's once in a blue moon give me a ATG bat.
Yeah but all he'll do is make runs. And even then there's no guarantee. Same with the bowler but all it usually takes is one false shot, one error in judgment and game set match to the bowler. And the bowlers do have to bat as well. So even there, they're contributing runs as well. Many times, useful runs.

WI team is a complete and utter joke but guess who were primarily responsible for drawn series away in Pakistan and Australia for the first time in years? Yup the bowlers.

And then you have the inverse. SA’s batting has been woeful the past few years whilst their bowling has been consistently one of the best. Yet they were doing poorly often, but Bavuma hitting form has allowed them to begin winning and make the WTC final.

Which combo gives the most value to an average side?

Kallis/Pollock or Miller/Lindwall

Hobbs, Sutcliffe and Hammond or Marshall, Holding and Garner

Sehwag, Dravid and Tendulkar or Steyn, Philander and Morkel

Greenidge, Haynes and Viv or Imran, Wasim

Hayden, Langer and Ponting or McWarne
Kallis/Pollock for the first one, and then the bowlers for every other comparison.

I'd still call their batting ordinary. They owe the majority of their successes to their bowling.
