Do team makes these trades?

2010s England exchange Broad for Richie Benaud?

90s SA exchange S Pollock for G Pollock?

2000s Aus exchange Gilly for Keith Miller?

2000s Pakistan exchange Younis Khan for Kapil Dev?

2010s India exchange Jadeja for Graeme Swann?

International Captain
When people talk about the great Australian team of the 2000s who is playing at number 4-6?

Hayden. Langer. Ponting. They are obvious 1-3.

I remember Mark Waugh, Steve Waugh, Damien Martyn and sometimes even Darren Lehman in first half of 2000s. Later it was Mike Hussey, Michael Clarke in second half of 2000s.

Swann will win India games away that Jadeja cannot and would still be very good in India
Jadeja has been excellent in his limited opportunities in Australia and South Africa, only poor in England like Swann in Australia. Swann can only dream of matching him in India. And then we come to Ashwin being offie and Jadeja averaging 36 with the bat.

Jadeja was a throwaway performance in SA while Swann actually won a game there. As he did once in Aus on a flat pitch. And better in SL too. He is simply a better all round spinner and India needed that. Also no mug with the bat.

Comparing his batting to Jadeja's makes as much sense as comparing Shane Warne's to Imran Khan. And no, Swann was overall way worse in Australia and hardly any better in SA. SL I hardly doubt will be the issue, and Jadeja largely played in England as an allround package not just a bowler. Swann vs Jadeja overall swipe is worse than 3 Ws for Inzi, Younis, Yousuf

India under Kohli played two series each in SA and England and with Swann they would have won at least one in each. Worth more than having a slightly less great home spinner.

Please don't do blind raw average reading across countries and look at actual bowling match impact.

They wouldn't. You are the one hyping Graeme "5 years **** in Australia too" Swann as if he was better overall than Jadeja. He wasn't.

He is. Like I said, one Swann and you would have one series in SA and Eng. That itself would be enough to throw Jedaja out.
