Why is this such a factor for you? Neither Lara/Sachin were inveterate padders/kickers, so doubt non-DRS helped them much in that regard. What else...that Smith was more likely to be given out by technology? That can't be a deciding criteria where ability is concerned. I think Lara and Sachin were both vastly more skilled against spin than Smith, especially so in an attacking mode. Smith's no slouch himself, but it's no shame to be the third to these two.

Sachin averaged only 16/18 in a 3 match test series when he played with Drs for the very first time, and Sachin never liked Drs for some reason.

Yes Subz and others, Lara had "issues " with faster spinners bla bla bla but against the two atgs which are who matter, he dominated them. Sachin was great too but not quite as dominant vs Murali. Smith faced spinners under ridiculous conditions but never any with the worldwide class of Murali and Warne.

This is a fair appraisal. Sachin post-98 became a far different player of spin. Less keen to skip down, more adept at the paddle and slog sweeps. Lara remained swashbuckling till the end, Sachin became more surgical with age.

Guess what Ravi jadeja averages 21 in Asia(same as aswin) and before 24 Bgt, he was the best ever bgt bowler (in terms of average i.e 18 AVG).
Flopped Warne shouldn't be counted for Sachin
So Sachin only played one great spinner and dominated him (Murali) only when sl prepared the flatest wickets of cricket history and failed miserably when there was something for spinners
