I told you I don't. He was fine in how he did as opener. I prefer other types of bats.
You fundamentally are rating him lower for being the most efficient in his job...... Hope the absurdity is well communicated. If T20s creep in Tests even more and batsmen starts striking at mid 70s/80s on average; would you consider SRT as a very slow??

Was averaging higher before and after the previous Ashes than he is now. So this series is more like, post Prime.
Remember, Walter Hammond failed all the Ashes at home but succeeded in Australia, Brook's the new Hammond.

So now it's captaincy...... I can entertain Hutton being limited if someone can provide me a scorecard of their favourite attacking player saving a game batting one whole day.
