I think once a player has reached a certain point or “tier” there’s a point where they can’t fall past, no matter the decline. If Steve Smith has a big decline I don’t think I could end up rating him lower than Ponting for example. Kohli had already been that far ahead of Gooch imo.

I recently changed to Greenidge and Amla over Kohli. In general, I have become more appreciative of quality top 3 batsmen. Kohli would have struggled as an opener.

He IS behind ABD pretty clearly. The fact you have ABD close to Crowe is worse. Not to mention, I don't particularly care for Javed.

Crowe's away record is a mixed bag. His first 3 years were poor. Unproven to spin. Still Great though, but ABD's away record is one of the best in business.
