Azharuddin was a far more entertaining bat ..He's one of those bats who seem to be fading with time , like a Hershelle Gibbs from the 00's .

wasn't his ban removed
Yes. A disgrace a he almost certainly was involved, but guess finding hard proofs 20 years later is a bit tough. What's hysterically is he got a hefty post in Hyderabad Cricket Board, but got suspended for corruption within half a year...... Guess old habits die hard.

alright, I might be a terrible person for this but that's actually hilarious, imagine appointing a fraud in charge of finances and being shocked you got robbed

EXACTLY!!! Like no one's really shocked but it just was the final nail on the coffin regarding any lingering shreds of doubt about his involvement. No amount of B Graded half hearted horribly inept biopics with more lies than in Musk Twitter account is saving from that.

Azharuddin went ballistic in the famously batsman-friendly English summer of 1990 and struggled on the other two tours. Pujara managed an average of 40 on some absolute landmines on the 2018 England tour while Azharuddin never offered much serviceability in countries where pace&bounce is prominent.
not going to lie, won't really call the 2018 wickets landmines

Very tough conditions in 3 of the 4 games he played and there was a run out which he wasn't at fault for
Yeah I'd certainly say it was far, far tougher than 90s England, I think the low scoring nature is a combination of Anderson is absolute demolition derby mode and English batting being very out of form though. certainly a bowler's series though.

Yeah pretty traditional and typical English wickets, probably catches wannabe aussies offguard.

Broad, Woakes, Stokes etc all very good in those conditions too.
