Rank these Aussie greats

Qlder

International Vice-Captain
Why Ponting ahead of McGrath?
Both have great records but Ponting has been involved in cricket since he retired, as an Aussie team advisor, coach and commentator. McGrath hasn't done anyone for Aussie cricket since he retired (great work on the women's breast cancer though). Same with why Waugh is low as he disappeared once he retired

Ok not quite what I had in mind for impact but fair enough.

Rank the following greats cumulatively not just in terms of cricketing record, but also their impact on Australian cricket.

Warne
McGrath
Border
Waugh
Ponting
Smith
Cummins
Top 6 for impact
1. Don Bradman
2. Richie Benaud
3. Victor Trumper
4. Kerry Packer
5. Billy Birmingham (actually should be higher imo)
6. Allan Border

I only really ranked them as players tbh but not a big fan of the Border saviour narrative. Australia are a relentless world-beating cricket machine that were always going to come good again.

In all seriousness, Border is no 1 for impact from that list. Hopefully Burgey doesn't see this comment though.

Yeah I regard Border as a good captain but not quite as great as Taylor, etc.

Warne

Waugh

Removed Cummins as this is meant to be a list of greats, not bowlers who crumble under Bazball
