Yeah. I didn't care when it was one flippant post from memory but SB keeps using that anecdote over and over so we probably shouldn't spread so much misinfo about it :laugh:

Well maybe he let play good deliveries.Like pretending Collins to get out and allow him to play soft ball? Isn't this a type of team technique

yeah I was working entirely on memory, got the ground and final guy wrong tho, brain seems to be getting old.

I remember Gayle once scored 40 in 80 balls in odi in a match vs Zim.Guess he was a statspadder back than.WI was in trouble like Eng test match and was jeep losing wickets.

Had a look through the match thread and both innings were extremely well received at the time, although some people said he should move up the order a place or two. Doesn't seem like the best example of what I remember of "bad Chanders".

Ok find some innings where he was extremely selfish and provide them, so that I have something to repeat over and over again.

He extended his time at the crease in the series to 19-and-half hours and it's more than 13 hours since he has been dismissed; the first innings at Old Trafford. The support from Collymore was the aspect Chanderpaul previously lacked and he farmed the strike smartly, while Collymore reached double figures in a Test for the first time since Old Trafford in 2004. "We spoke to each other about what we could see to help us through the innings," said Chanderpaul.

the batter should face more than 62% of deliveries of the final wicket partnership if you ask me.

No such acts shouldn't be done.Some people say Sachin,Dhoni,Lara played many selfish innings.Even if he is selfish it doesn't make him lunatic player.Just say "if he batted more fast like SR 50-55 his average will be below 48 or 47"
