@PlayerComparisons - Have you taught him via your correspondence course? Good start, but it's missing a little something...Two left handers
Hayden was conditions limited more significantly.@capt_Luffy all jokes aside, explain to me the case of Hayden<Chanders.
the Run per inning difference and the batting position difference doesn't bother you at all? as well as the fact their averages are also even (with Hayden having advantage) without minnows?Hayden was conditions limited more significantly.
Hayden did bashed his fair share of minnows. Tbf I find all 3 of the big 2000s openers quite restrictive and with ample limitations. I literally rank them with a difference of a single spot.the Run per inning difference and the batting position difference doesn't bother you at all? as well as the fact their averages are also even (with Hayden having advantage) without minnows?
man, c'mon, Cook is better than Chanderpaul, c'mon.Hayden did bashed his fair share of minnows. Tbf I find all 3 of the big 2000s openers quite restrictive and with ample limitations. I literally rank them with a difference of a single spot.
He is very close to him, Chanders better longevity.man, c'mon, Cook is better than Chanderpaul, c'mon.
It is a little sad that we have not had a true ATG opener play for almost 40 years now. Perhaps Jaiswal might buck that trend. Then again, perhaps not.Tbf I find all 3 of the big 2000s openers quite restrictive and with ample limitations. I literally rank them with a difference of a single spot.
what series or achievement did Chanderpaul have in his career than can be compared with Cook leading England to series win in Australia after 25 years and a series win in India? He is very close to him, Chanders better longevity.
feel like he'll eventually go to 3 or 4, that's where India seems to play their best battersIt is a little sad that we have not had a true ATG opener play for almost 40 years now. Perhaps Jaiswal might buck that trend. Then again, perhaps not.
Well there’ll be plenty of space all throughout the middle order at this rate.feel like he'll eventually go to 3 or 4, that's where India seems to play their best batters
Cook was Great in those 2 series, but has his own consistency issues. Shiv also largely didn't play in a challenger teamwhat series or achievement did Chanderpaul have in his career than can be compared with Cook leading England to series win in Australia after 25 years and a series win in India?
reckon that number 4 spot will be open after the England series.Well there’ll be plenty of space all throughout the middle order at this rate.
I voted Chanderpaul in that comparison but I suspect if Cook batted 5&6 on some pretty dull pitches instead of opening in England during the emergence of a very bowler-friendly era he would have played more than 12 years. He is very close to him, Chanders better longevity.
that's not really an excuse, Cook has higher output than him and has more quality output, and that's while he is opening against dukes in England while Shiv played at number 5 and 6 on slow, dead Windies pitches of 2000s...Cook was Great in those 2 series, but has his own consistency issues. Shiv also largely didn't play in a challenger team
Probably would. But Cook seemed burnt out really quickly (in terms of years obvs, I still get baffled he played 145 Tests IIRC)I voted Chanderpaul in that comparison but I suspect if Cook batted 5&6 on some pretty dull pitches instead of opening in England during the emergence of a very bowler-friendly era he would have played more than 12 years.
