Would be interesting to see whom @BazBall21 and @Johan vote for. Guess they rate Cowdrey very highly.

Not sure. Stokes has fallen off a cliff since 2020 but all rounders are generally bigger points of difference than specialist batsmen; especially middle order batsmen, though Cowdrey was accomplished in the top 3.
1954/55 Australia, 1958/59 Australia, 1965 South Africa&1967/68 West Indies were far from minnow attacks and Cowdrey played some major knocks in each of those series.
I didn't include 1960 WI because the bowling depth wasn't great but 114 and 97 opening v Wes Hall in Jamaica is good.
