@capt_Luffy and @sayon basak - the cricket community in NZ is not as big as you might think, being from India and Bangladesh respectively. Its a much smaller population and I think CW has a real reputation in that community, as well as English cricket to some extent.

I can understand that, somewhat only though; as you said already being from India and not even Mumbai, the top tiers of the cricketing sphere seems to live in a different world altogether from mine. And it pretty much was proved the NZ is a small town where everyone runs into each other in the "mundane cricketer sighting Thread". Hence, had say Reece Young, Peter Younghusband or Matthew Sinclair came around, hardly any one would had made a fuss. But still (or hence moreso) a player of the stature of Martin Crowe, someone from the pantheon, just rolling around and talking with us lowlifes feels so surreal. So him being ostracized and stop posting just feels so appealing. Even more tragic that he is no longer among us, hence no chance to return really.....

He got injured the week before we were due to play him
