BARNES OUT
I didn't say it was someone here who said it.It was Meltzer that said Kenny vs Moxley was too brutal for him, I don't think anyone here or the wider wreddit consensus felt it was anything too crazy.

Am unfortunately blocked by Big DaveYeah clearly I'm implying youre friends with Meltzer
Yeah this all over. The more I watch AEW, the more I feel that Tony Khan really doesn't have a filter when it comes to booking or match layouts etc. What I remember growing up is the hard-core spots or angles felt huge because they happened so rarely. Now they are weekly on AEW TV and it's reaching the point where most moves don't mean anything. Would the sweet chin music mean anything if HBK was in AEW right now? Also MJF needs to be protected. A dislocated hip at 27? Doesn't sound good to me.
Haha I think we just have different tolerance levels for these sorts of things I tbh.I read your post so I watched the match and this is the same as last time (I think it was Kenny vs Moxley that time) where people told me it was brutal and it wasn't that bad at all.
It was lame as **** though, I'll say that.
Sweet chin music wouldn't mean anything in WWE right now either considering how One-Note Jey Uso hits it every two minutes. But I get your point; moves and concepts have to be protected for them to have any meaning. The more I watch AEW, the more I feel that Tony Khan really doesn't have a filter when it comes to booking or match layouts etc. What I remember growing up is the hard-core spots or angles felt huge because they happened so rarely. I bagged the **** out of him on here when I hadn't watched enough AEW to realise he was a comedy character. Just thought he was a bland af stoical figure who wore denim and said nothing as part of a silent operator type gimmick. Now he's my favourite character in the whole company. He's been consistently entertaining IMO and produces fantastic matches. Happy for him to be beating the big guys if it means he's on TV a lot.I think AEW has lost steam since HHH took the book in WWE. The stories aren't as nonsensical as when Vince was around and the Bloodline storyline was top tier television for a long time.
On a separate note, what do you guys think of the Orange Cassidy? He gets quite a heavy push on the AEW side but I've admittedly never been a fan. I definitely don't think he should be beating Mox. Or getting more TV time than someone like Ricky Starks. It feels like AEW has the roster and the means to be huge, but they aren't because of their own doing.
Quite a few of them came from the mind of Vince McMahon, for one.Why do women's wrestler's names so often sound like they're pornstar names?
Dakota Kai
Skye Blue
Alexa Bliss
Bianca Belair
Beth Phoenix
Liv Morgan
Mandy Rose
It's out of control.
