***Official***Match #20- England vs S Africa - October 21st - Wankhede (D/N)

International Vice-Captain
Looks like Reece Topley's World Cup is over.

He has suspected broken finger.

One of the few England players who have been impressive this tournament.

Woods form been surprising I thought he’d be way more effective this tournament. He still has plenty of pace but batters don’t fear it in odis like they do in tests

At least he admitted he's a ****ing idiot I guess.

Jos Buttler, England captain: "Incredibly disappointing. Come in with hopes of playing well but we were short of that and were well beaten. Changes weren't as big an issue. Throughout the first innings, lots of things didn't go to plan. Topley got injured, we were unsure whether he'd come back or not and get a few overs in, that kind of stuff. It was a tough 50 overs. Thought if we'd restricted them in 340-350 on this pitch, it'd have been a good chase but they got away. Bowling first is potentially a mistake. You always look back on the decisions you make. Incredibly tough conditions with heat, etc, you saw that with the boys in the field. Potentially should've batted due to the heat. Conditions were extremely tough. The humidity, cramps and all other challenges were tough. We needed to get off to a good start with bat chasing a score like that. Ball did a bit, batters got down the leg side. When that kind of thing starts happening, you start thinking the writing is on the wall. The loss leaves with no room for error. We have to probably win every game here on in."

Well done lads very nice after the disaster against the Dutch. Phase 1 of doing the double over the Dodgers complete

We need a captain who can at least decide to bat or bowl correctly after winning the toss.

You could send the England rugby players over to India, they probably wouldn't do any worse.

Send the England cricketers over to France to get beaten up by the Springboks as punishment.
Topley v Etzabeth would be a good scrap tbh. Both world class locks and 6'8. One more injury prone than the other tho

If we have to fly out a replacement who will it be because in theory we have the best men already. Can we not get two or three others to break bones in practice.

if england win against us, i will deserve every bit of gloating from gimh

hard to see it tho
They probably might. Bazball is probably the best strategy against this Indian team. Hit Indian bowlers in the first 10 overs for runs and the entire attack crumbles.

Very disappointing but hard to see us losing another game now that we’ve realised Wood should bat up the order

Actually it might work against India. Wood slaughtering Bumrah and Siraj in the pp and scoring a 22 ball 40 before he gets out and the Indian bowling attack crumbled under pressure.

The key word is might. Most probably he gonna get out for a 6 ball duck.
