If he had played a longer test career, he could have posted figures second only to Bradman. But equally he might not have.
With Kallis, we obviously know what his achievements are.
It comes down to belief - do you believe that Pollock would have gone on to achieve true greatness, perhaps second only to Bradman.
If you do, as I do, then as great a player as Kallis was, you have to pick Pollock ahead of him.
