*Official* England's White Ball Tour Of Bangladesh : March 01-14, 2023

This is such a sweet win. I know it's a JAMT20 and they're missing a few but they just put in a monster batting performance against some of the fastest bowlers in the world. After years of consistent T20 humiliations, this is hugely satisfying. Very encouraging debut from Hridoy as well. Hopefully we start putting this 6.5 rpo over **** behind us and play like a modern T20 team under Hathurusinghe.

Some new faces in the lineup is a very welcome thing as well.

Fair play to Bangladesh, they outplayed us. Yes we weren't at full strength but you can only beat the side the opposition put out and they did that.

Towhid looks the part. Im not sure about Rony T making a comeback. Think Towhid and Liton should open and theres a place for maybe Saifuddin down there or Mosaddek

Yeah couldn't agree more on Saif and Mosaddek. Both are players I rate. Hridoy seemed to be the highest rated of that U/19 team he was in and then disappeared for a while. I'm glad he's got his chance and, most importantly, looked good off the back foot against high pace. You can pretty much filter who might or probably won't make it based on that one metric I reckon.

Noticed he's got a first class average of 41 as well and seem to remember that he got some runs in the 4 day comps this year. Let's get him in the test squad soon.

I didn't get to see Rony bat but I don't imagine it was very convincing haha.

It's a good win the first T20I, don't care if it's England A. Best T20I win for Bangladesh since the inaugural T20 WC.

I hope the pitches stay true and we don't see the pitches that was made when Australia lost 4-0 a few years back.

It wasn't England A, it was kind of a joke batting lineup but the bowling was pretty close to full strength so Bangladesh have reason to be excited about some of their batting

Is Saifuddin ever coming back? It has been ages since he played.
He keeps getting injured. I’m not sure that we properly played him ever. For me, he’s more of a batsman than bowler (genuine all rounder though) but obviously ppl calling the shots see him more of a bowler and some kind of lower order hit and miss guy.

They're playing again

Pretty much every over so far has been Moeen Ali struggling to get off strike before Salt hits a boundary off the last 2-3 balls.

Bit sad really. Moeen is one of my favourite players ever but it's really hard to justify him bring in the team from how he's played this winter

Malan and Salt out by the 7th over so it's basically all on Buttler again.

Edit: great timing. Not really gonna watch the rest of this

Moeen's not what he was, that's for sure. I vaguely remember discussing this before wrt the World Cup being in India, where it would be a brave call to only play one specialist spinner. But even if he does play in the WC, there's no way he's batting in the top 6.

WTF is going on. We need to sign Hathuri to a 10 year contract and refuse to release him at any point.

Great batting lads. One thing we've learnt this winter is that Curran won't be batting in the top 6 at any time in the near future.
