The virgin Santner will be the darling of the beta cw crowd who argue against pews libertarian ideals, lauding santners use of drift and change of pace as some second coming of Vettori, positing him as the thinking man's limited overs spinner who concedes few boundaries while the Chad Sodhi actually attempts some turn and outlandish things like the wrong un to bash through a batsman's defense's like the cigarette toting late great Shane Warne. I actually think Santner gets more turn than Sodhi these days. Sodhi puts some revs on it but it's all topspin all the time. His action is really just a very elaborate and confusing way to bowl straight deliveries that dip and bounce at varying rates.

Tastle put less work on it but he turned the leggie anyway because it was all side spin. He was the real Chad.

Santner actually bowls the way people used to say Vettori bowled imo. Vettori was very reliant on a fast arm ball, mixed with slow straight ones, and he was really tall so got a lot of bounce.

Santner varies his pace more and really loops and spins his stock ball….and bowls from much lower than Vettori, despite his height and bounce being referenced all the time for some reason

btw Vettori was an absolute gun T20 and ODI bowler I’m not questioning that
