Slim pickings but the list is below. Not sure if its worth a poll, just interested in opinions.

- Paul Adams
- Pat Symcox
- Nicky Boje
- Robin Peterson
- Paul Harris
- Imran Tahir
- Mahraj

Maharaj > Harris > Tahir > Boje > Adams > Symcox

honourable mention to Johan Botha who was a very good cricketer despite being a filthy chucker

edit: also think Robin Peterson was better than Boje, Adams and Symcox

Strange you have Harris so highly. He hardly spun the ball and I dont recall him doing much except holding one end. He wasnt as expensive though.

Harris did a good job with a strong pace attack around him. Held up an end and as you mention kept things tight, unlike Imran Tahir who leaked runs. Also did it for a long time I think he was probably the most capped out of all those guys.

None of them are all round spinners, Maharaj is decent in tests but pretty rubbish in ODIs, while Tahir was the best in ODIs and rubbish in tests...although he learned all his cricket in Pakistan haha

Given the relative paucity of options, it has got to be Maharaj by the two sweetest words in the English language.

Maharaj
Adams
Harmer

The rest in any order they were all dreadful spinners.

This is referring only to tests
