Damn. That was a fun innings.

I want Blundell to take the same approach - remembering he was someone selected as a no-fear proactive shot-player. Yes prefers pace but also known for using his feet against spin. Didn't like seeing him so bogged down and defensive last match.

Mitchell throwing away a great opportunity for a ton there. Had looked really good. Can see why Kane and Stead rate him so highly, he responds to pressure and knows his game inside out.

So Nicholls in this innings has survived plumb LBW, stumping and being bowled. It's really uncanny.

Mitchell is an above average FC allrounder, and he can play that well against this attack. No excuses for the other blokes tbh.
Has a bit more about him than that tbh. I am curious to know why he's spent most of his FC career averaging sub-35 with the bat (it's up to 38 now).
