not worried if we don't take wickets here tbh

they're not scoring at a decent rate which means the pitch is going to keep getting worse with no danger to us as time goes on

Still stands up well before it pitches which is really really bad.

Assume he's working on all this and we hopefully see improvement in a year or two.

Has been nothing short of brilliant so far this game tbf.


Also the umpire at Axar's end has been excellent too

He didn't look so great on the tour of the West Indies where he was originally dropped (not that anyone did great in those first two tests). I don't know his county stats vs seam/spin I'm afraid, although I guess country stats vs seam wouldn't always be hugely reflective of what he'd be facing at international level anyway
