Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah, very rich coming from a guy who's no stranger to the seamier side of cricket. Someone should ask him for the final day's weather forecast...he's been known to be something of an expert on the subject in the past
Weather and pitch conditions, tbh. NGL, I kinda hope Fox puts a weather and pitch report daily and asks Mark Waugh and Shane Warne to host it.

It actually looks like it might well be dry for most if not all of the day. The rain is all there right now and should blow through by the morning.
Crapinfo says, there will be showers after 1 PM local time. And all this overnight rain might delay the start etc.

BOM is also now saying that the showers will be early morning.
Something I learned recently.

Most companies get their worldwide weather information from a source that does worldwide weather predictions. These predictions are usually passable for general info but the granularity of their data is pretty low (because they're trying to model the whole world). This data also happens to be free to use, so most third party websites/ apps use it.

The BOM do a much finer grained forecast that they publish a subset of on their site and licence out at a premium. This forecast is more accurate than the global forecasts. Unfortunately, the people who licence the data don't turn around and republish it for free because, well, it costs a fortune (the bom basically has a forecasting supercomputer running 24h/day).

So yeah, trust the BOM over other data.

Yeah the BoM indicates a decent (40%) chance of rain between 1-4 PM tomorrow. However this looks to be a slight drizzle (<.5mm).

I kinda agree with the thinking that you shouldn't have to rely on rain to save matches. Always disliked rain interruptions.

I'd prefer a team lose than hope for rain to get a draw. The players probably disagree.

Its not just that though. To me, either the rain has to stay away completely or rain it off. Raining off and on and in bits and pieces can advantage one side very easily. It happened at Lords in 2018 for us.

Anyways, decent chance the covers and the rain might actually settle the cracks on the pitch for most of the day, so lets see if India can surprise us one more time and pull it off. :)

Just caught Lyon getting 100 caps. Excellent career obviously but is he the "worst" Aussie player to do it? Healy maybe only other choice.

Yeah, but you also shouldn't have to rely on Sundar, Shardul, Saini, Siraj, and Natarajan to save matches.

Thakur's 7 wicket haul + half century is possibly the finest all round performance in Australia by a visiting player ever since Dale Steyn's epic show in Melbourne 2008.

Arise Sir Shardul !

Still though man...Healy was a phenomenal keeper and a more than handy batsman. Was a time of specialist keepers so he more than deserves those caps.
