It is actually quite interesting. Feel that the best players will be able to showcase more because they will pierce the gaps better and possibly clear the boundaries better.

56-2 after six overs feel like a bit of a win for the fielding side since the outfield is practically empty.
A figure of 80 runs as a typical score was mentioned on commentary, so 56 would be below par. Although this being a brand new format obviously means that we've got nothing to gauge scores against.

Scores after the first half:
Eagles 66/1
Kites 58/1
Kingfishers 56/2

It may have been that the teams were being a little cautious, trying to keep wickets in hand. I expect we'll see more big shots when they bat again.

It's a good job the side bowling last happen here to be the side in the lead. If the Kites had chased down the total, then the Eagles would be trying to defend a score that's not even theirs.

Whatever it takes!!!
We used to play a form of cricket in our streets and parks called "individuals" where if we had like 8 people, one guy bats and gets to face a maximum of 7 overs. And the target was to get the highest individual score. Quite often it would be the responsibility of a player who has no hope of winning to try and win the game for you, if you have the highest score at that point and the last guy is batting. It is a fun format as you can get to play at a decent level with at least 5 or 6 fielders. You had to be run out only at the end you were running towards though, and we had this confusing middle of the wicket thingy to decide which end you can run a batsman out at. I have had some fun over the years confusing the hell out of the others on why the end they threw at was wrong when I was the batsman.
