Patto/Reid/Bichel/MacGill would have been a damn fine attack for guys who didn't play as much test cricket as the could have. I would personally add Mark Cameron to that list as well, but unfortunately footage of Cameron bowling is not easy to come across

Sub Harris in for Bichel. Bichel can be 12th man, which seems appropriate.

Sadly, we live in a world where Ishant Sharma is unbreakable but guys like Reid and Akhtar can't get through a series.

Yeah now that I think Rhino should definitely be in the starting XI. His career trajectory was a bit different though, started off as a journeyman medium fast seamer, about 5th in line for the Redbacks behind Dizzy, Sloon, Paul Rofe and Mark Cleary. It wasn't his last season here in Adelaide that he really started being genuinely quick.

The cricketing world is filled with injusticies.

I for one don't mind Ishant. Loved him when he first appeared on the scene (probably cause I used to be tall skinny rake much like he was). And I admire him for his longevity. For quite a number of years now he's been India's go-to guy when the chips are down.

I think I actually recorded some that never ended up on YouTube. I'll see if I can find it.

I found this interesting

80s Indian Odi team.

Best captain
Best Bowler
Best Fielder
Best Batsman

All 4 titles belong to Kapildev.

Its unique. Anyone else? Sobers in 60s (tests)??

Srikanth 38

Srikanth 20

(Vengsarkar 10)

1987 jan 1

I dont know the details, but it seems like

This is better than 75% of specialist batsmen of the time, i think.

Sorry, i read Rice as lloyd for some reason.

And, I dont think Rice was better bowler than the likes of Le Roux, Vander Bijl.. Etc
I wouldn't rate him above Jimmy Cook or Peter Kirsten) as a batsman, either (and Pollock was still playing until 1988).

Sobers I'd have thought most people would rate below Hall and Gibbs, although his versatility is obviously a bonus. (And with him gifting England a series not everyone rates him that highly as a captain).
