The perfect cricket family?

Anyone for the Bracewell clan?

John, Brendon, Mark and Douglas.

Excellence found in all four.... Maybe.
Michael's a handy young wicket-keeper for the Under 19's too, and a top notch first five eight/fullback for the Kavanagh High School 1st XV. I beleive he's John's nephew.

Since he's Mark's son, I think that's how it works, yes.

Alec Bannerman, once took 3 days to score his highest Test score of 94  Or at least how the story goes or what I've read.
Al takes undue flack. He didn't have to come out all guns blazing when he had opening partners like Hugh Massie and J.J. Lyons smashing 'em to all parts at the other end. He was more than capable of turning it on when necessity dictated.

I think the original idea was that it should be a family with some level of achievement at the highest level of the game, which is the same reason that the Are You Being Served? clan weren't mentioned earlier.
Read his post properly. He was joining "the original cricketing family" sub-debate.

The Hollioakes last? I'm sure at least one was good ;)

He's playing beach cricket now.

With a list like that, I'm not surprised :p

Oh how can I forget about the Headley's (George 2nd to Bradman IMO), the only Grandfather-Father-Son combination ever. Dean Headley, another decent bowler robbed of injury. In an OT kind of way, I find it staggering how many decent bowlers England and New Zealand have lost to injury or have their potential severly reduced.
Dr.Jehangir Khan, Majid Khan, Bazid Khan is the other G-F-S combination, tho just barely (Bazid 1 Test)

I know he was and I admit my reply didn't make sense after I'd changed the post. Originally it was multiquote post with Post Number 15 which wondered how so many posts had accumulated without mentioning the Grace's. Hence my reply of "I think the original idea was that it should be a family with some level of achievement at the highest level of the game, which is the same reason that the Are You Being Served? clan weren't mentioned earlier." I removed Post 15 from the quote to remove the possibility of another endless loop of pointless prattle. I should have removed the whole post and not bothered, but it gave Uncle Nev another chance to pose........so everyone's a winner.

Well played sir :)

I guess at the time I read that article Bazid Khan hadn't played Test cricket. I got it from the book Famous Cricketing Families which I used to have and I got it in 2001. The Khan (Imran being the most famous cousin) - Burki (Javed was another cousin) clan was/is pretty impressive considering they all played Test cricket.

Here's another one, Greg and Ian Chappell both captained Australia, and Jeff and Martin Crowe both captained New Zealand, how many other brothers captained their countries? Cricket historian Neville Cardus should know this :p
