The Draw looked on here for a little wile, but the lower middle order fell apart again.

DAY1. Cymru Gurgitaters 230 A/O, Mohammed 77, Cash 56* Akhtar 44. Heath 6/30'odd.
Wozzer's Sloggers XI 164/1, Heath 75*, Tomkins 55*, Carlton 1/33

DAY2. Wozzers Sloggers XI 453/8 DCLD, Heath 77, Tomkins 68, Wear 122, Elford 46*, X 50! Carlton 6/108, Jeffery 3/70
Cymru Gurgitaters 89/2, Jeffery 35*, Akhtar 35*, Vallance 2/15

Day3. Cymru Gurgitaters 230 A/O, Akhtar 75, Jeffery 65, Staton 25, Vallance 6/67.
Wozzer's Sloggers XI 9/0.

Slightly annoying in so far as I could have wiped the floor with him had I played anything close to my best team, but in the short-term at least, I want to try and make a fair fist of Div.III in OD. Next week should be a FC win, and the following week I'm up against the best team in our FC league, so I might just divert resources in that direction to make sure that too big a gap doesn't develop between me and the top teams.

But love the format! Despite the eventual margin of defeat, the result was in question right up until the last 10 or so overs, which is something you can rarely say of BT OD matches.

Later, Trev

Rob, First guy I'd say is 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up, I get his Primary wage as something around £580/£600

Second guy much the same actually, with a primary wage of around £590'ish.

Depending on how much they've been trained since they were pulled, I'd hazzard a guess at something like 7 weeks on one net, 4 or 5 on two.

Hope this helps, Trev

Cheers Trev. I was optimistically hoping for a bit less time for poppage, but I think they're probably closer to 50% than 100%.

Scaly, anyone else, your thoughts?

I'm loving the HUGE scores here!

That's an idea, actually -- tactically knackering an opponent's bowling/batting so they don't do so well in their next match.

Hard to make it work, though, as you'd have to be a fair bit better than them...which kind of negates the point.

Just bought this guy as a replacement trainee for Thorpe for £9k

Doug Caldwell - 17 yo, BT Rating=4,174
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, lively
A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: competent
Bowling: feeble Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

Have put him on 2 batting nets - I figure I can change one of the batting nets to a fielding net one or two seasons down the line to get his fielding and concentration up as well.

Got absolutely smashed in the end, I probably shouldn't have set some batsmen to very defensive because we simply didn't score enough. Full strength for tomorrow though.

How do these 500+ individual scores effect experience gained?

Does your player earn 5 times the experience that he'd gain for scoring a century if he scores five hundred??
