Kent Land - I played a season as NZ and these are the stats from that season. From this I suggest that Bond's bowling is increased (before he got injured he was arguably the best One Day bowler in the world) and that dan Vettori's bowling is increased slightly. Styris is virtually a specialist batsman these days and his batting should be increased. As should Cairns's and Orams.

I beat Sri Lanka and the West Indies in the World Cup and then had Kenya and Bangladesh both score over 260 against me and beat me. IMO all the bowlers apart from Cairns should have their bowling increased and Franklin should have his batting increased as he is almost an all rounder. Same with Vettori who has averaged about 35 with the bat since 2002.

In tests all the bowlers struggle to take wickets other than Cairns.

These are just suggestions.. take a look at the screens and make your own judgements.

Incidentally, do you know if the following players have retired:

Geoff Allott, Grant Bradburn, Carl Bulfin, Mark Douglas, Simon Doull, Chris Drum, Lee Germon, Matt Horne, Greg Loveridge, Andrew Penn, Blair Pocock, Roger Twose, Jason Wells and Warren Wisneski.

Trying to update the NZ database, and introduce players like HOw, Ryder, Parlane, Nicol, Taylor, Broom, Yovich and Aldridge.

Cheers.
Horne is the only one left.

Ah bwah ah? He`s been bowling awesomely of recent, bowled well in the one-dayer `gainst Australia and I think he`s doing quite well on the county circuit.

To be fair Blaze, with only 2 Tests and a handful of ODI's it's hard to make any real judgement on players.

It's better than nothing and you can get an overall feel for it.. especially with the bowlers

Right then, I think it is possible to change ground names, so I'll have a stab at changing Hants to Rose Bowl - may even be able to get a pic of it...

I'm fairly happy with the NZ skills - I think maybe you need to test it over a longer period - think I may need to increase Styris' batting a bit though.

I've taken out all retired NZ players now and added in some youngsters. Will now add Michael Parlane - Neal's already been put in.

Well when you release it I will test it for a year (with NZ) and post screens for you

Latest Update

Please find attached my latest update.

It incorporates several new players (especially for NZ), as well as all database changes that have been recommended.

I've changed Hampshire's ground to the Rose Bowl - but think getting a picture of the ground into the game may prove tricky for me - does anyone have knowledge of photoshop or the like??

Cloete and Broncoman are pretty useful Photoshoppers.

I've fixed the ethnicities/contracts bug - nothing but rank bad programming - trying to work on career histories now.

Good man Neil! To be fair I wouldn't have a clue how to program Magpie or anything else for that matter - so we're very grateful to you for this!

I had a go at making a picture of the Rosebowl. Screenshot included.

EDIT: It was too big to upload as a bitmap so if you did download it you'd have to save it as one in paint or whatever.

I played another season as NZ and from my results I think the main thing that needs changing is Bonds bowling increased considerably. He did well in the ODI's but in tests he can't buy a wicket. Have a look at the screens and see what you think. I agree about Styris he bats number 4 for NZ in tests IRL

Well, to be honest, Bond hasn't played international cricket for quite some time, so you can't base him on what he was back then.
