Nice trip to Australia for the Ashes, wonder if a series will ever turn out like this.

First test
226 from Mark Pears and 102* from Morris Rowntree saw England score 578-7 declared. Australia were bowled out for 189 with Exley taking 5-53. Following on they only managed 181 with Exley taking 4-60.

Second Test
Australia batted first and were skittled for 110. 4 wickets each for Naylor and Exley. England score 541 with Wicketkeeper Hugh Benn making 113 and Pears 91. Australia then get wrapped up for 62, Carey takes 3-19.

Third test
England score 655-5 declared, Hopps scores 186, Rowntree 170* and Armstrong 105. Australia reply with 306, Exley taking 7-88. Following on they subside to 94 all out, Exley taking 3 for 22, 10 in the match.

Fourth Test
England score 605, Cameron makes 119 and Carey 85 batting at no. 9. Australia make 304 & 145.

5th Test
England 607-7dec. Hopps strikes 127 and Armstrong 132. Australia make 99 & 184, Exley match figures 8-45.
