CricketWeb Racing Series

There's the world famous cricket league, there used to be a soccer comp, and there's a tennis comp, so why not a racing competition? Have a rough idea about how it should go, something along the lines of 90's Indycars or if there's no majority for that, a NASCAR/V8 thing. If all fails, we can do horse racing or better yet, chariot racing. Any takers?

Intriguing, but how would it work?

(You've got the first pick in the NFL Draft BTW)

You can sign up as driver or principal (if you're a driver-principal your performance will suffer), get yourself a ride (as a principal this means just picking a brand of car for V8s or for Indycars brands of customer chassis and engines) and let me simulate the whole thing. Principals don't have to sign CWebbers if we don't get enough, we'll just make up some foreigners. Also: You will need sponsors.

Also please state if you are in favour of V8 or Indy.

V8. Racing without using brakes is pointless.

Explaining seems necessary. I didn't mean oval racing, just single seater formula cars as opposed to touring cars. Just used the term 'Indycars' because they used to have this concept of buying your entire car from third parties who mass produced that stuff. So you might have one team fielding a Lola chassis, a Toyota engine and Michelin tyres whereas someone else buys Lola with Ford and Goodyear. Some combinations are winning, some are less so. I just liked this concept, but it's merely an idea.

That actually seems more interesting than the V8 variant. Not too fussed either way though.

Touring Cars for the win. Either way, count me in. Konig has a habit of coming up with good things, so this is bound to be a 100% success.

Okay, looks like this will fly in some sorta way. Hope more folks join, but let's start planning. Where will we race (places) and what will we race (cars). I suggest someone here looks for some cool cars, they all have to be the same class though. I will be looking for tracks. Anyone fancy Melbourne BTW? Since we are next to Australia and all.
