Of course you will mate, you're posting in the Colts thread so you're already contributing.
Now, on the grounds:

The PDV Dome will be as quick as ever and shouldn't offer much for the spinners. The pitch should hold together nicely through the first 4 days or so. Typically a quick-scoring ground.

The CW Oval will offer something for the seamers, regardless of pace and the spinners will come into player later into the match. It's perhaps the most balanced cricket wicket in the league.

The CWBCC Stadium is tailor-made for spinners. It should also allow for lots of runs, being possibly the flattest track in the league with regards to seam movement and easy in pace.

The SCG should give the spinners some joy but also has a little for the seamers. Batsmen should score runs.

The Bellerive Oval will start off slow and flatten out as the game goes on.
Right, Bellerive is our home ground, so it's good that we finally know what we're playing with. Mind you, this probably suits us because we have the following spinners in our armoury:
# DJ Comley - allrounder/left chinaman
# DP Tucker - allrounder/offspin
# JP McNamara - bowler/left offspin
Note that if the ground does flatten out (which Mr Mxyzptlk expects that it should) then we should probably play only two, but it's also interesting to note that Tucker and Comley are both allrounders, so we wont lose much in the way of batting.
Of course, Captain Wright chose the team before we found this information out. Hence, our team only has one spinner, (JP McNamara). Just for the record, the team (as posted by Mr Wright here) is:
Our selected team said:
* AS Das - batsman
* T Mamesh - batsman
* NR Hancock - allrounder/medium fast
* DP Towns - batsman (vc)
* JB Malthus-Howell - batsman
* SA Jasotharan - Dammit, can't remember
* SJ Burke (wk) - batsman
* G Nayak - batsman/fast medium
* JP McNamara - bowler/left offspin
* KS Wright - bowler/fast medium (captain)
* GM Thomas - bowler/fast
The remaining players are:
Remaining Players said:
* JJ Josy - batsman
* JB Brown - allrounder/fast
* DJ Comley - allrounder/left chinaman
* DP Tucker - allrounder/offspin

We're almost on :happy: the final countdown has begun.

If it suits your spinners, I think the likes of Pickup, Halsey and Richards will have a field day.

Very thorough stuff up there Nick. Hopefully it will suit our squad compilation, which I think it will.

What about Bennett? :D
I was trying to keep the magic of Steds quiet.

His chanting of "Go Reds" as he runs into bowl tends to account for 95% of his wickets anyway!
